Course Description
This course examines the implications of looking at site energy versus source energy as it applies to SECTION C407 TOTAL BUILDING PERFORMANCE according to the Florida Building Code 5th Edition (2014) Energy Conservation. The participant will increase their understanding of these terms, their application in Florida’s new and existing buildings, and the use of site energy in the FCB 5th Edition 2014.
Course Objectives
The participant will learn:
- Definition of site energy versus source energy and their use in energy conservation.
- The use of site energy in Section C407 TOTAL BUILDING PERFORMANCE.
- Examine site versus source in specifying HVAC and SHW equipment.
- Equations that help understand site versus source equivalencies
Method of Presentation
This course will be presented in a classroom lecture format with instructor use of a multi-media presentation. Attendee participation and questions will be encouraged.
