Course Description:
This course reviews the basic terms related to energy conservation according to the Florida Building Code 5^th Edition (2014) Energy Conservation. The participant will increase their understanding of these terms with code compliance.

Course Objectives:
The participant will learn:

• The evolution of the concepts of energy conservation, energy efficiency and energy performance.
• The top key word concepts that designers, builders and code officials must appreciate.
• Key energy terms that are not defined in the Florida Building Code

This course will be presented in a classroom lecture format with instructor use of a multi-media presentation. Attendee participation and questions will be encouraged.
