Course Description:
This course reviews the basic terms related to energy conservation according to the Florida Building Code 5th Edition (2014) Energy Conservation. The participant will increase their understanding of these terms with code compliance.

Course Objectives:
The participant will learn:

  • The evolution of the concepts of energy conservation, energy efficiency and energy performance.
  • The top key word concepts that designers, builders and code officials must appreciate.
  • Key energy terms that are not defined in the Florida Building Code

This course will be presented in a classroom lecture format with instructor use of a multi-media presentation. Attendee participation and questions will be encouraged.
