COURSE DESCRIPTION:
For the first time, commissioning is required for commercial buildings in Florida.  This course reviews those requirements found in C408 of the Florida Building Code, Energy Conservation, 5th

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
The overall goal of this course is to ensure participants are familiar with current and future changes to the Florida Building Code, Energy Conservation, to improve the likelihood that buildings are constructed in accordance with the building code.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Recall submittal and Certificate of Completion requirements from C408
  • Name three components that require functional testing.

Name three items that are listed in the commissioning plan.

AUDIENCE:
This course is designed for contractors, builders, architects and code officials. Construction trades may also be recommended to attend. Trades include, but are not limited to, HVAC contractors and electricians. It is recommended to have participants who are involved in planning and purchase and/or participants who will be installing on‐site.

PRESENTATION METHOD:
This course will be presented as an instructor led lecture using electronic media including slides.
