Course Description:
The Florida Energy Code Version 5 is a major step toward the International Energy Conservation code 2012. This course not only teaches Florida specific amendments but also highlights the new IECC provisions that Florida constructions professionals need to understand in order to achieve good code compliance on New Residential Projects.

Course Objectives:

The participant will learn:

  • Why codes are becoming more stringent.
  • Product & Process changes in their field/trade.
  • Installation of new products or processes.
  • Benefits of product, process and performance changes.

The basic information about documentation and the calculation procedure.

Method of Presentation:
This course will be presented in a classroom lecture format with instructor use of a multi-media presentation. Attendee participation and questions will be encouraged.

Method of Evaluation:
Students will receive a course and instructor evaluation sheet that will be reviewed by the provider and used to adjust the course accordingly to meet the needs of future students.
