Course Description:
This course examines the implications of looking at site energy versus source energy at is applies to SECTION C407 TOTAL BUILDING PERFORMANCE according to the Florida Building Code 5th Edition (2014) Energy Conservation. The participant will increase their understanding of these terms, their application in Florida’s new and existing buildings, and the use of site energy in the FCB 5 th Edition 2014.
Course Objectives:
The participant will learn:
- Definition of site energy versus source energy and their use in energy conservation.
- The use of site energy in Section C407 TOTAL BUILDING PERFORMANCE.
- Examine site versus source in specifying HVAC and SHW equipment.
- Equations that help understand site versus source equivalencies
The basic information about documentation and the calculation procedure.
Method of Presentation:
This course will be presented in a classroom lecture format with instructor use of a multi-media presentation. Attendee participation and questions will be encouraged.
Method of Evaluation:
Students will receive a course and instructor evaluation sheet that will be reviewed by the provider and used to adjust the course accordingly to meet the needs of future students.
