Course Description:
This course reviews the basic terms related to energy conservation according to the Florida Building Code 5th Edition (2014) Energy Conservation. The participant will increase their understanding of these terms with code compliance.
Course Objectives:
- The evolution of the concepts of energy conservation, energy efficiency and energy performance.
- The top key word concepts that designers, builders and code officials must appreciate.
- Key energy terms that are not defined in the Florida Building Code
- Understanding the Effective Use of Energy. C101.3 Intent
Method of Presentation:
This course will be presented in a classroom lecture format with instructor use of a multi-media presentation. Attendee participation and questions will be encouraged.
Method of Evaluation:
Students will receive a course and instructor evaluation sheet that will be reviewed by the provider and used to adjust the course accordingly to meet the needs of future students.
